Seeking an experienced professional specializing in Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) systems, with a strong background in managing tenders and leading technical teams. The ideal candidate should possess substantial technical expertise and tender management experience, gained through prior roles in specialist companies focused on ACMV construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and submission of ACMV tenders, including reviewing technical specifications, cost estimates, and project timelines.
- Take charge of all M&E QS-related matters, overseeing processes from tender to pre-contract and post-contract administration.
- Prepare tender clarifications, liaise with consultants, attend site visits, and conduct tender briefings/meetings.
- Interpret technical specifications, review tender drawings, and address any discrepancies or compliance issues.
- Conduct detailed technical evaluations of tender documents to ensure alignment with project requirements and industry standards.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with tender submissions and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Plan and execute tender team activities to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Propose value engineering solutions for ACMV and MEP works where necessary.
- Assist with presentation slides, technical write-ups for tender submissions, and represent the team at tender interviews.
- Collaborate on project planning, including scope of work, manpower allocation, program schedules, and risk assessments.
- Evaluate quotations from sub-contractors/suppliers in accordance with tender requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to support decision-making processes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
- At least 8-10 years of relevant experience in Mechanical/ACMV services.
- Strong knowledge of ACMV and M&E works, including design and build tenders.
- Familiarity with statutory compliance and planning regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- A self-motivated, confident individual with a collaborative mindset.
