Operations Excellence Executive (3PL) / Supply Chain Operations Analyst

This role is typically focused on project implementation for customer’s warehouse logistics & supply chain, driving operational efficiency, improving processes, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality logistics services. It involves analyzing workflows, identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and often working on cost-reduction strategies while maintaining service quality.

Key Responsibilities in 3PL:

1. Process Improvement: Analyzing logistics operations to identify inefficiencies and implementing solutions for improvement.
2. Performance Metrics: Monitoring KPIs (e.g., order accuracy, on-time delivery, warehouse utilization) to ensure operational targets are met.
3. Technology Implementation: Supporting or leading the integration of technology solutions such as WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), TMS (Transport Management Systems), and automation tools.
4. Collaboration: Coordinating with cross-functional teams like warehouse staff, transportation teams, and client services to align on goals.
5. Cost Optimization: Reviewing costs related to warehousing, transportation, and labor to develop strategies for cost-effectiveness.
6. Quality Assurance: Ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Desired Skills:

• Analytical skills for evaluating data and proposing actionable insights.
• Knowledge of logistics software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS/TMS).
• Proficient in project / business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel (VBA), Power Point, Project Plan, Visio & PowerBI)
• Project management skills to handle improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles.
• Communication and teamwork skills for cross-departmental collaboration.

Typical Qualifications:

• Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in logistics operations, preferably within a 3PL environment.
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence methodologies can be an added advantage.
