The role is tasked with the hands-on execution of web-building tasks, including updating content, implementing designs, and ensuring functional and technical integrity.
Responsibilities
Page construction
- Build, format and publish web pages using specified templates and guidelines
- Integrate multimedia elements (images, videos, PDFs) and ensure proper formatting
Content updates
- Implement front-end content changes including editorial and visual, provided by stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and alignment with brand and content guidelines
- Update metadata, alt text, and tracking codes on the authoring instance as needed
- Categorise and save content in the appropriate location
Quality control
- Conduct thorough checks of all new pages and/or content updates to ensure accuracy, functionality, and adherence to design, content, and branding guidelines before submission
Testing and troubleshooting
- Verify functionality of published pages (e.g. links, forms, buttons)
- Resolve minor technical issues or escalate major ones to the Webmaster
- Support UAT for enhancements
- Post-deployment testing
Adherence to standards
- Follow established branding, accessibility and compliance standards (e.g. WCAG, SEO)
- Document processes and changes to ensure consistency and accountability
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Webmaster and team members to clarify requirements and timelines
- Implement feedback from stakeholders and QC reviews promptly
Requirements
- Proficiency in Adobe Experience Manager
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and basic web design principles
- Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) systems
- 1-2 years in web development, content publishing, or a similar field
- Experience working in a structured environment with strict deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Web Design, IT, or related fields
- High-quality, functional web pages aligned with brand and technical requirements
- Prompt handling of assigned tasks with minimal rework
