Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to manage and optimize our building systems, infrastructure, and assets. The ideal candidate will oversee maintenance operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement strategies for efficient and sustainable facility management.
Key Responsibilities:
Asset Management:
- Maintain and update asset records in the asset management system
- Conduct regular criticality and condition assessments
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies
- Produce annual and yearly asset capital replacement plans
Maintenance Operations:
- Oversee planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance for all facility assets
- Manage statutory inspections and testing
- Coordinate specialist engineering and handyman services
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Technical Administration:
- Manage records, O&M manuals, and technical documentation
- Operate building management systems
- Oversee work order management and performance monitoring
- Maintain technical library and manage subcontractors
Infrastructure Management:
- Maintain site infrastructure including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems
- Oversee building fabric maintenance and site infrastructure upkeep
- Manage specialized systems (e.g., lifts, fire systems, water management)
Project Management:
- Initiate and manage capital projects and improvements
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for installations and upgrades
- Manage project budgets and timelines
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and policies
- Manage permits, licenses, and certifications
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on asset performance and condition
- Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency enhancements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering
- 3 years of experience in facilities management or building engineering
- Strong knowledge of building systems and asset management principles
- Familiarity with CMMS and building automation systems
- Experience with project management and budget control
- Understanding of relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., ISO 55000)
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PE, CEM, FMP) are a plus
