Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying and assessing workplace risks from work processes.
- Recommend and review measures and safe work procedures to mitigate risks and prevent incidents.
- Support the implementation and review of safety measures and procedures to prevent workplace accidents.
- Investigate incidents/accidents and advise on remedial actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with authorities on safety, health, and environmental matters.
- Administer and implement an effective EHS Management System (EHSMS) per legislation and prepare for external audits.
- Conduct Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) audits as required.
- Ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and conduct EHS training for employees based on Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP).
- Monitor and discuss Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) performance in committee meetings, recommending improvements.
- Perform Environmental Control Officer (ECO) and Environmental Control Manager Officer (ECMO) duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- At least Specialist Diploma in WSH with an ECO certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Civil & Infrastructure projects as a WSHO cum ECO.
