We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient IT Systems Engineer to manage and maintain backend systems, servers, and infrastructure. The role requires expertise in Windows and Linux environments, with a focus on performing routine system health checks and ensuring the overall stability and efficiency of IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Liaise and work with solution providers for the setup and troubleshooting of the IT systems hardware.
· Planning and execution of system administration, installation, deployment, testing and commissioning.
· Incident Response and Support.
· Perform regular system health checks to ensure optimal performance and address potential issues proactively.
· Conduct daily, weekly, and quarterly system checks to assess the performance, stability, and reliability of IT infrastructure.
· Generate documentation. (Maintenance Reports, checklist etc.)
· Create and update technical documentation, including system configurations and procedures.
· Work closely with project team and external customers to plan and execute system upgrades and maintenance projects.
· Ensure that backup systems are operational, and that data is consistently and accurately backed up.
· Respond to user-reported IT issues and provide timely technical support.
· Continuously evaluate system performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
· Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data protection standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Diploma/Bachelor in information technology/computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent with at least 1-3 years relevant working experience
· Hands-on experiences in setup, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows
· Experience in Incident response, backend system and server including Windows and Linux.
· Familiar with system applications such as MS SQL Server, backup software,
· Experience in troubleshooting, system administration, maintenance and support
firewalls and network devices.
· Experience in Virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V) will be an advantage
· Knowledge and practical experience in Information Technology (IT) Security
· Perform regular System Health checks
· Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical
· stakeholders.
· Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
