Join a leading oil & gas company as a settlement executive, where you'll ensure the seamless execution of financial settlements for global trade activities. Collaborate closely with counterparties, treasury, and operations teams to maintain accurate and timely trade settlements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute financial settlements for physical trading deals, including accounts receivable and payable.
- Prepare and process payment instructions for cargo and associated direct expenses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate with Operations to gather trade and shipment information, ensuring smooth settlement processes.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate trade data within the trade system for reconciliation and reporting purposes.
- Support monthly closing activities by providing precise trade and financial information to the accounting team.
- Liaise with counterparties and internal stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to settlements.
- Generate management reports and provide insights for financial planning and analysis.
- Collaborate with the Treasury team to facilitate funding arrangements, ensuring efficient payment and collection processes.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with 3 years in trade settlement
- Experience in shipping accounting is a plus
- Strong understanding of trade settlement processes, including accounts receivable, payable, and cargo expense payments.
- Familiarity with trade finance instruments such as Letters of Credit is a plus.
- Possess good planning and organizing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
