Job Description:
This is a full time role for a Trainee Ship Broker located in Telok Ayer. Our client is a listing of companies concerned with shipping, bunkers/supplies, freight forwarding, maritime and supporting industries and you will be responsible for cape size vessels is involved in various stages of deal negotiation, from introducing the business to potential clients and negotiating key terms of contracts or sales to ensuring successful deal closure and managing any necessary follow-up. The role includes developing frameworks and processes for managing the chartering business, overseeing ship chartering negotiations, and working closely with traders to address their queries and foster direct cooperation. The Trainee Ship Broker negotiates charter party terms on behalf of ship owners or charterers and provides accurate shipping information and voyage calculations to support trading activities. Strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with ship owners, cargo owners, and brokers. The position requires the ability to work under pressure, self-motivation, and a team-oriented mindset.
Qualifications:
