Research Fellow (Genome Engineering)

The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineeri​ng and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

The Research Fellow will take on a significant role on developing and applying cutting-edge biotechnologies, including high throughput next-generation sequencing (NGS), CRISPR-Cas, and deep learning methodologies to read, write, and decipher the genome and transcriptome of living cells. The research fellow will be involved in efforts to develop and/or apply new tools and methodologies to push the boundaries of genomics and synthetic biology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and/or apply cutting-edge genome and transcriptome engineering technologies
  • Perform functional genomics assays and other wet-lab experiments
  • Write and publish high-impact research papers
  • Guide graduate and undergraduate students

Job Requirements:

  • PhD degree in biological sciences, bioengineering, biotechnology, or related fields
  • Strong research experience in genomics, genetics, computational biology, or related disciplines
  • Outstanding publication track record, preferably with first-author papers in high-impact journals
  • Proficiency in genomic technologies, including CRISPR, NGS, and bioinformatics
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
