Our client is a large MNC currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Controller to join their APAC team on a 9-month contract.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of expertise in financial management, US GAAP accounting, and regional financial operations within large multinational corporations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership and analytical skills to oversee and drive financial compliance, reporting, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with US GAAP.
- Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Manage audits and liaise with external auditors to ensure regulatory and compliance requirements are met.
- Internal Controls and Risk Management:
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks across regional operations.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with regional and global finance teams to ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Partner with business leaders to provide financial guidance and strategic support.
- Team Leadership:
- Mentor and guide finance team members to enhance their professional growth and performance.
Key Requirements
- Professional Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is essential.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, including regional roles within large multinational corporations.
- Extensive experience with US GAAP accounting is mandatory.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
