Roles and Responsibilities
- Be part of the development core for the Digital Transformation Development team
- Produce initial development ideas, perform PoC and deploy the product in GCP under Agile framework
- Maintain and propose new ideas to enhance team practice in product development, including GitHub/Jira/Confluence usage
- Assist in creating data mart from ONE data warehouse in GCP environment whenever necessary
- Set up ETL job and maintain data accuracy with good knowledge of data structure/data latency whenever necessary
- Nurture and provide guidance to junior staff members in the team, building up a solid support force for data science-related product development
- Keep track of latest development of projects and provide timely reporting to the management and comprehensive review/planning on a regular basis
Requirements
- Bachelor or above in Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics
- Minimum 4 years' experience in SaaS product development preferred; shipping knowledge would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex analysis to a non-technical audience
- Proficiency in Python/SQL, as well as Cloud platforms (GCP preferred)/ Google Suite (Apps Script is a plus)/ GitHub/Jira/Scrum framework
- Good knowledge of data engineering that covers data governance, database architectures and data pipelines
- Good knowledge of mathematics/statistics/computer science/machine learning
- Strong problem solving and risk analysis skills to analyse ONE internal system data, as well as the forecast system background data
- Ability to review complex information, perform comparative analysis, and make recommendations based on findings
- Ability to perform BI analytics to present insightful messages with follow-up actions
- Highly self-motivated and able to work independently
- Experience in MLDevOps on Cloud is a plus
