The Assistant Human Resources/Admin Manager reports to the Senior Corporate Development Officer. He/she is responsible for overseeing and managing the human resources operations of the company. The role includes managing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compensation, benefits, training, compliance, and HR policies.
Responsibilities
- Handle full spectrum of HR operations related to the organization design & planning, organization development, manpower planning, recruitment/selection, payroll administration, compensation & benefits, employee welfare, training & development, risk management.
- Maintain accurate personnel records by having a filing and retrieval system.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations & company policies.
- Develop, implement, and review HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness.
- Address and resolve employee grievances by providing guidance and counseling to both employees and supervisors, fostering a supportive work environment and ensuring fair and consistent conflict resolution.
- Responsible for office administrative duties.
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies in alignment with Bizsafe standards to cultivate a proactive culture of health and safety, ensuring a secure and compliant workplace for all employees.
- Process end-to-end payroll for Company with a headcount of around 200 including submission of monthly CPF taxes, statutory payments and ensure timely and accurate compensation.
- Prepare regular HR reports, including employee turnover, absenteeism, and other metrics. Analyze HR data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Foster a positive organizational culture and ensure employee engagement.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and provide recommendations for salary adjustments.
- Develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition and retention.
- Support managers in addressing performance issues and implementing improvement plans.
- Support employee career development through coaching, mentoring, and skill-building initiatives.
- Manage the performance appraisal process and ensure consistent and fair assessments. Provide guidance on setting performance goals and evaluating employee achievements.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day office operations by managing administrative tasks. Liaise with external vendors, service providers, and contractors to ensure efficient office operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5 years of HR experience, with 2 years in a managerial role
- Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and office administration
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and best practices
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
