Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Professor HUANG DEJIAN on Plant proteins for Cultivated meat under a project on SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTION OF CULTIVATED MEAT: MEDIA, SCAFFOLDS AND BIOPROCESS.

The main responsibilities of the position include:
1) Coordinate activity of progress of sub-projects of this grant funded by government (Singapore Food Agency)
2) Lead development of plant proteins as new edible biomaterials for scaffold fabrication and coating materials to improve cyto-affinities
3) Write progress reports of the grant
4) Write invention disclosures
5) Write manuscripts for publication
6) Write grant proposals related to the plant protein work
7) Supervise junior students

Qualifications

Qualifications / Discipline:
PhD degree majoring in Food Science and Technology or closely related fields.

Skills:
Skilled at extraction of plant proteins and Natural products. Food analysis methods such as HPLC, SDS-PAGE, proximate analysis, cell culture skills, imaging molecular biology experimentation skills. Good communication skills in writing and spoken English skills in scientific writing including creative graphic presentation.

Experience:
0-3 years of working experience.
