The successful actuarial analyst candidate will have an opportunity to gain invaluable experience within an established global organisation and support the IFRS17 reporting team by contributing to processes, model enhancement and User Acceptance Testing for new products.
The role requires expertise with IFRS17 and its analytics, and collaboration across departments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the IFRS17 reporting team by preparing and reviewing regular financial reports.
- Maintain and enhance financial controls to ensure compliance with IFRS17 standards.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new products and model changes.
- Conduct thorough analysis to improve the accuracy and quality of IFRS17 results and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements in reporting processes.
- Ensure the timely completion of financial reporting tasks and control enhancements.
Requirements:
- Background in Finance with a solid understanding of IFRS17 accounting principles, preferably with significant experience in the life insurance industry.
- Strong numeracy skills and the ability to understand and apply new financial and technical concepts.
- Proven track record in delivering high-quality analysis and commentary on financial results.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international and virtual teams.
- Proactive attitude, quick learner, and the ability to manage change and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to produce impactful reports and presentations.
