Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager of Research & Consultancy to join our research team and drive innovative solutions for our clients. The successful candidate will oversee complex research projects, develop strategic partnerships, and contribute to the growth of our consultancy practice.
Key Responsibilities
1) Strategic Leadership:
- Assist the Department Head in developing and implementing the Singapore Capital Markets research strategy that is aligned with organisational goals
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the Singapore capital market to inform research direction
2) Project Management:
- Manage the Singapore Capital Markets database
- Ensure timely and meticulous updating of deals and integration with JLL’s global database platformIdentify and analyse investment trends including capital flows and profiles of buyers and sellers
- Oversee multiple high-value research projects simultaneously
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality research outputs and client deliverables
3) Team relationship and management:
- Collaborate with a team of local and regional researchers and consultants
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
4) Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Support JLL’s internal and external clients on their business needs/requests
- Act as the primary point of contact for the Singapore capital market research
5) Business Development:
- Maintain the Singapore property investment market slides (quarterly basis) to support the larger Singapore business
- Support media enquiries/press releases on the Singapore property investment market
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Contribute to proposal development and pitch presentations
6) Thought Leadership:
- Produce and present research findings at industry conferences and events
- Author, independently or jointly, white papers, occasional market commentary including blogs to profile the Singapore capital market business
7) Methodology and Quality Control:
- Ensure the use of robust research methodologies across all projects
- Implement and maintain quality control processes
8) Financial Management:
- Meet or exceed revenue targets for the research & consultancy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Economics, Data Science, Real Estate)
- 3-5 years of experience in research consultancy
- Proven track record of managing large-scale research projects and teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Deep understanding of research methodologies and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Experience in business development and proposal writing
- Proactive, Detail-Oriented, and Professional / Excellent work ethic,
- A willingness and desire to take a leadership role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel
