Business Development Consultant

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Consultant to join our team in the recruitment industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, business development, and recruitment, with a proven ability to generate new business, manage client relationships, and contribute to the overall growth and success of the organization. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with potential clients, and delivering recruitment solutions that align with client needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:Identify and target potential clients within selected industries.
    Develop and implement strategies to generate new business opportunities.
    Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activity, and client needs.
    Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective clients.
    Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
    Understand client requirements and offer tailored recruitment solutions.
    Regularly check in with clients to ensure satisfaction with services provided.
    Address any issues or concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of client retention.
  • Collaboration with Recruitment Team:Work closely with internal recruitment teams to understand candidate pipelines and client requirements.
    Assist in refining the recruitment process based on client feedback and market demands.
    Provide input on marketing and sales materials that highlight the company’s strengths and value propositions.
  • Sales and Reporting:Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
    Track and report on sales activities, new business opportunities, and key metrics.
    Maintain accurate records in CRM systems to ensure smooth workflow and client engagement.
  • Networking and Industry Engagement:Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and develop new business leads.
    Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape to anticipate client needs.
    Develop and maintain a professional network of industry contacts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within the recruitment industry or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the recruitment process and client management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Experience with CRM tools and other sales-related software.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with recruitment technology platforms and ATS (Applicant Tracking System).
  • Knowledge of specific industries or niches, such as IT, finance, healthcare, etc.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business environments and client needs.
