The Opportunity
- Adecco is partnering with a multinational corporation oil and gas company to search for a Project Planning Engineer
- Focus: Coordination, Scheduling and Planning on Project management activities and deliverables
- Office location: Central, Singapore
- Working hours: 5 days’ work (Mon-Fri) 50 hours per week
- This role starts off as a contract position
The Talent
- Direct planning experience in the Keppel/ Seatrium integration yard
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management
- Experience in project controls w/a focus on planning and schedule control
- Willing to work overseas in a team environment
- Willing to relocate to required project site
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests
The Job
Day-to-day activities for the development, maintaining, monitoring, controlling and integrating of the overall Project schedule including putting in place the progress measurement system, verification and reporting.
- Direct oversight of both EPC Contractor and Integration Subcontractor on schedule maintenance, updates, and execution
- Able to effectively communicate across multiple disciplines, including both Contractor and Vendor, and at various levels including construction teams and project management
- Proactively identity execution issues and opportunities and highlight to team, being able to effectively assess and communicate impact to overall schedule as well as include key actions to support decision making
- Issue executive weekly dashboards for PMT, including progress, manpower efficiency, productivity, skylines, etc
- Provide timely analysis of current trends including identification of opportunities, challenges and proposed mitigations, and status/effectiveness of mitigations
- Review Contractor weekly / monthly reports for accuracy (including progress measurement and resources) and feedback corrections
- Strong support to Contractor’s and Subcontractor’s Planning team to develop basis of schedules, methodologies, and benchmarks; work with contractors to address schedule and execution plan quality issues
- In addition, to strong planning expertise, candidate must also demonstrate an aptitude in execution strategy for how topsides modules are integrated in order to achieve better schedule logic, identify execution opportunities, and drive better overall performance and progress of the Contractor
