Responsibilities:
Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Source and manage suppliers for components, products, and services in line with company requirements and the timely delivery of goods.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
Supply Chain Operations:
- Coordinate with internal departments (R&D, production, and finance) to align supply chain operations with business objectives.
- Ensure smooth logistics and transportation, working with external partners to manage the distribution and delivery of products.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards, especially in medical and consumer product categories.
- Identify potential supply chain risks and work on mitigation strategies.
Process Improvement:
- Evaluate existing supply chain processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and cost savings.
- Implement best practices in supply chain management, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Track key supply chain metrics and prepare regular reports for management review.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and supplier details in the Auto-count and BLM system.
- Handle QMS system, not limited to SCM department.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, finance, and production, to ensure alignment between supply chain activities and overall business objectives.
Serve as the point of contact for suppliers and external logistics providers.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent in supply chain/logistic preferred with at least 3 years of working experience in procurement, sourcing, logistics and supplier management.
- Previous experiences of working in a purchasing team; preferably within a medical or manufacturing environment.
- Good knowledge of purchasing, price negotiation, commercial understanding, and cost breakdown.
- Experience of working closely with suppliers/freight forwarders.
- Able to add value, reduce costs and input to business improvements.
