Job Description
- Oversee and manage commissioning programs across multiple data center construction projects.
- Manage the commissioning process from site selection, vendor onboarding and organizing commissioning workshops, to technical due diligence design review, developing commissioning strategies and plans, attending factory and site acceptance testing, resolving technical issues, and overseeing commissioning close-out and turnover process.
- Develop and maintain best practices for safety, quality, testing and commissioning and continuously updating the Cx Process to ensure safe, high-quality, and cost-effective solutions.
- Develop Commissioning Procedures and standards, conducting regular construction site inspections to review safety, construction, QA/QC, and commissioning process.
- Lead a team of external vendors and consultants responsible for commissioning Data Centre projects, including various delivery models that support 24/7 operations with high levels of security, reliability or redundancy.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of Construction Quality Assurance and Commissioning processes for each project. This includes scheduling and reporting commissioning activities, issue management, and obtaining official sign-off from partner teams.
- Ensure each project aligns with Microsoft’s Commissioning Guidelines and standards, adapting them as necessary based on best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.
- Manage the project’s commissioning document storage system and automated commissioning management system, ensuring proper usage by the Construction, QA/QC and Commissioning team members and verifying that all documentation is accurate and that resolutions are accepted by the relevant teams.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing commissioning for large construction projects, preferably in data centers.
- Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, standards and best practices.
- Good project management skills for scheduling, reporting and managing tasks
- Excellent communication skills
