COMPANY DESCRIPTION
We are one of the largest one-stop Underground Utilities Infrastructure companies based in Singapore. We provide Underground Utilities Infrastructure construction and maintenance, sewer pipeline rehabilitation, road and airfield construction and maintenance as well as asphalt pre-mix production and construction waste recycling.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).
- Provide guidance and technical support to welding inspectors, supervisors, welders and other members of the project team.
- Perform inspections of QAQC activities such as welding works, NDT tests, hydrostatic tests, valves passing tests, coating applications, heat induction bending, cold bending, etc. to ensure compliance with project specifications, and standards (AS2885, ASME, API, ISO).
- Review and maintain accurate inspection records, including welding logs, inspection reports, and certifications.
- Identify and document welding defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead the technical discussions with client and project consultant and assist with regulatory audits, providing detailed documentation and addressing queries.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance welding quality and efficiency.
- Able to work independently in a fast paced environment and able to handle multi-task and ad-hoc assignments.
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor or HOD.
- Certification as a Senior Welding Inspector (e.g., AWS, CSWIP).
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering will be an added value.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., AS2885, ASME Section IX, API, ISO).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in pipeline construction, pipe/fitting welding, testing and commissioning works.
- Advanced certifications in NDT or welding technologies are highly preferred.
- NDT and coating inspection certifications are a strong advantage.
- Prior experience in the oil & gas industry is preferred.
- 6 days' work week
- Preferably possess a valid Class 3 license
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, high-paced environment.
