Responsibilities:
- Assist the Port Captain in the overall management and coordination of port operations, including vessel scheduling, cargo handling, and resource allocation
- Monitor and maintain the safety and security of the port environment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices
- Liaise with various stakeholders, such as shipping companies, cargo owners, and regulatory authorities, to address any issues or concerns
- Participate in the development and implementation of port policies, procedures, and improvement initiatives
- Provide operational support and guidance to the port's workforce, including supervisors and cargo handling teams
- Contribute to the continuous optimization of port efficiency and productivity
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar maritime transport or port operations role
- Strong knowledge of port management, cargo handling, and maritime transport regulations
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Proficient in relevant software and technologies used in port operations
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in maritime or port management would be an advantage
