Job Summary:
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support and propose solutions for wired and wireless networks.
- Address project-related queries effectively.
Change Management:
- Analyse, plan, coordinate, and implement change requests on existing network equipment.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed system records (e.g., configurations, changes, problems, disaster recovery documents) for network devices.
Firewall and Network Device Management:
- Manage firewalls (Checkpoint, Cisco FTD, Palo Alto), Nexus switches, and F5 Load Balancers.
Requirements Gathering:
- Gather business and application requirements to plan, design, install, test, and implement systems in line with specifications and service levels.
TSM/ITIL Alignment:
- Apply ITSM/ITIL methodologies in daily operations, including change, incident, problem, release management, and CMDB updates.
Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor system performance and availability proactively and implement corrective actions to enhance service levels.
Incident and Problem Resolution:
- Respond promptly to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and provide temporary and/or permanent resolutions.
- Provide regular status updates to relevant stakeholders.
Service Continuity:
- Implement and maintain backup/restore procedures and disaster recovery plans to ensure continuous business operations.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
Proposal and Solution Support:
- Assist in preparing proposals and delivering solution presentations.
Team Leadership:
- Lead a team of network engineers effectively.
Certifications:
- Attain and maintain key certifications required for partnerships with key vendors.
