- Meet and exceed the site’s budgeted trading targets.
- Ensure adherence to contract payment terms by customers.
- Identify, implement, and manage consigned stock in line with contractual commitments.
- Promote and ensure the health and safety of staff, visitors, and yourself, adhering to company and customer Health and Safety policies and procedures. Report all cases of non-compliance.
- Maintain awareness and ensure compliance with all relevant company management systems, policies, and procedures.
- Fulfill customer contractual commitments, including achieving Price and Engineering Benefit Savings, reducing customer-owned inventory, and minimizing logistical costs.
- Provide management teams, both internally and for the customer, with timely reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and feedback to support effective planning, budgeting, and performance management.
- Leverage preferred suppliers where possible, and when supply chain agreements are absent, develop supplier relationships to minimize costs while meeting agreed service level commitments.
- Define roles and objectives clearly for team members, fostering their development and motivation to achieve the desired performance levels.
- Compile and submit monthly engineering reports.
- Assist in site audits.
- Collaborate with customer engineers to support maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
- Oversee and manage master data within the customer’s CMMS (Centralized Maintenance Management System).
- Implement and execute change requests effectively.
Requirements:
- Possess at least a diploma in engineering or supply chain management; relevant job experience will be considered.
- Minimum of two years of business development or management experience in a demanding customer-facing industrial environment.
- Knowledge of industrial consumables/MRO market and products, and their applications.
- Proficient in Windows-based programs and fully integrated systems for sales order processing and stock management.
- Experience with enterprise systems, e.g., SAP.
