Purpose of the role
To be responsible / to assist Business Head for the regular and ad-hoc SFCO strategy, planning and administrative work as a team leader.
To develop and implement strategic plans aligned with global credit team and global SFCO, especially with Tokyo headquarters.
To evaluate individual credit applications and monitor / review existing transactions for the product under SFCO as a VP-class credit analyst.
Job Responsibilities:
- To be responsible / to support tSFCO Asia strategy, credit process, managing credit cost.
- Responsible for contributing to a healthy balance sheet in the region assessing credit applications and monitoring process
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders within MUFG
- Work in partnership with colleagues across the region and Tokyo HQ to best practice on credit risk monitoring, share market commentary and information on global accounts.
- Work in partnership with colleagues in the product offices and in the region to understand pipeline transactions and their possible risks to act as an advisor/ credit officer and provide advice on feasibility of deal and accurately assess credit applications.
- Act as a role model to team members and adhere to all company policies / guidelines
- Support, coach and guide team on complex credit applications
- Monitor the existing portfolio by regular review of borrower ratings so that credit costs are properly managed and calculated.
- Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations in order to understand the business of the Bank’s clients but also the country’s economic state.
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years of credit experience within commercial bank
- At least 5 years of structured finance experience in either origination or credit.
- Minimum JLPT N1 Certification, a degree from a Japanese university or equivalent required to effectively communicate with Japanese stakeholders and senior management in Tokyo Head Office and across APAC on development and implementation of new strategies and plans.
- Strong analytical skills to complicated financing structure, risk mitigation and key counterparties’ financinals
- Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence others based on solid knowledges
- Sound knowledge of products and detailed understanding of Bank’s internal process
