Job description:( In Detail):
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to gather, understand, and translate data requirements for implementation in broader data initiatives.
- Implement scalable data processes that can be reused across similar known use cases and adapt to evolving business stakeholder demands.
- Work with internal engineering teams and external data vendors to resolve any technical data-related issues.
- Provide timely and effective support to end users, address any relevant data queries or issues encountered.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data management activities (e.g, operating models, processes, implementation designs and user-acceptance test results).
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in data management.
Skillset (Must have):
- Proven experience in data management (e.g, Metadata, Data Quality, Data Discovery etc.) and support for enterprise-level data products.
- Good understanding of financial data and data management best practices.
- Demonstrate understanding of the complex data security and technical challenges faced by large, reputable organizations.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL, including data storage and management in relational databases such as Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle etc.
- Familiarity with leading data management trends and practices in the financial industry, including approaches to data quality and business-technology issues related to data.
- Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Skillset (Good to have):
- Experience and knowledge of Python is preferred.
- Certification in data management or data quality (e.g., DAMA, CDMP) will be advantageous.
