- Handles the technical aspects of patch deployment and system updates, on project basis.
- Ensures that patches are tested, scheduled, and deployed with minimal disruption to system availability.
- Responsible for testing patches in a controlled environment before deploying them to production systems.
- Verify that patches do not introduce new issues or conflicts.
- Regular scanning and analysis.
- Scheduled and controlled patch deployment.
- Perform risk-based prioritization.
- Rigorous testing in a controlled environment.
- Collaborate with other IT team for user acceptance testing.
- Emergency response for critical vulnerabilities.
- Understand the IT infrastructure and become familiar with the infrastructure environment and support processes and procedures to ensure supporting users with proper SLAs.
- Troubleshoot production issues to fix any user related issues and work with principal vendors and customers to provide the resolution within the proposed timelines.
- Be available for questions in assisting their needs to support any issues and monitor the environment leveraging appropriate monitoring tools as well for special scheduled activities performed during non-business hours or public holidays due to system upgrades.
Good experience in:
· Linux OS patching
· MySQL system and patching knowledge
· MSSQL system and patching knowledge
· Maria DB system and patching knowledge
