Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the design process from concept development and space planning to project presentation, ensuring creativity and high-quality outputs.
- Seek inspiration and reference materials from diverse sources to support innovative design solutions.
- Create concept designs using hand sketches and digital tools while mentoring junior team members on assigned projects.
- Develop and review detailed drawing packages for schematic and detailed design phases.
- Prepare engaging presentations using digital and traditional media, with proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Represent the team in client meetings, leading or contributing to presentations as needed.
- Conduct research and source materials to ensure suitability and quality for each project.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of market trends, client needs, and competitor strategies.
- Build and foster strong client relationships, identifying opportunities for future projects.
- Support business development activities, including pitches, proposals, and presentations.
- Conduct site visits independently, addressing issues and ensuring project progress.
- Perform site measurements, create layout plans, and select appropriate materials for use.
- Manage project communication, coordinating with clients, design teams, contractors, and suppliers while documenting meeting outcomes.
- Prepare accurate and timely fee proposals for new projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered successfully within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Demonstrate expertise in material selection and application to meet design and functional goals.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate office interior design.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Skilled in negotiation and vendor management to secure the best value for materials and services.
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable with a “can-do” attitude.
- Hands-on, responsive, and proactive with a genuine passion for design.
