Our client, a Japanese food distributor company in the West, is looking for Junior/Procurement Specialist to join their Consumer team. You will be responsible for coordinating with customer/buyers/purchaser for goods delivery arrangements and conducting stock-taking activities.
Job Description:
Common Responsibilities:
• Timely execution of forecast and exception report to suppliers and ensure supplier delivery commitment meet sales requirement
• Expedite deliveries and resolve shortages to meet sales needs
• Manage and resolve quality/quantity notification, supplier returns, good receipts and invoice discrepancies
• Maintain optimal inventory level and minimize inventory holding
• Responsible for negotiating strategic pricing and contractual arrangements for supply.
• Enhances supplier relationships by developing and continually improving processes and contractual terms.
• Manage the company and third-party warehouse process improvement activities and expiry goods
• Plan and execute stock replenishment by way of purchase orders.
• Execute purchasing related tasks and coordinate documents and information with suppliers to support operation needs
• Ensure that all products meet relevant importation regulations and food safety standards
• Stay informed of government policies and regulations in relation to import and export, distribution compliance.
• Manage and execute product ingredient check procedures
• Work closely with Headquarter in Japan for fulfillment of goods
• Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned by superior
Job Requirements:
• Experience in procurement or Supply Chain operations within the FMCG industry would be an advantage.
• At least 1 year working experience in procurement/purchasing.
