Location: Northland Secondary School, No. 3 Yishun Street 22
Contract Duration: 1 April 2025 to 31 December 2025
Extension Option: 1 January 2026 to 31 December 2026
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break).
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break).
- No services required: Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Positive Discipline Advocacy
- Promote and support positive discipline practices across the school.
- Patrolling and Student Engagement
- Monitor the school premises (classroom blocks, toilets, special rooms, etc.) during school hours.
- Engage with identified at-risk students and the general student body to reinforce positive behavior.
- Investigation and Parental Engagement
- Assist the Student Discipline Unit in investigating serious student offenses.
- Engage parents when necessary to address disciplinary issues.
- Disciplinary Records Management
- Maintain and update disciplinary records (both digital and physical formats).
- Support for Intervention Programs
- Assist with intervention initiatives such as in-house suspension, detention classes, and student-at-risk counseling sessions.
- Routine Checks
- Conduct routine checks within the school premises during school hours.
- Patrol nearby external areas, including neighborhood void decks, to prevent students from engaging in unauthorized or improper activities.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
- At least GCE 'O' Level Certificate with 3 passes.
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, meticulous, and capable of multi-tasking.
- Proficiency in MS Office, email, and Google tools.
Preferred Experience:
- Relevant experience in student management or youth engagement.
- Background in the Ministry of Home Affairs or related fields.
