Duration: 3 mths locum to perm
Salary: $25 / hour (Weekday), $27 / hour (Sat)
Working hours: Mon to Fri: 9am-5.30pm (with 1 hour break), Sat: 9am-1.30pm
Location: Paragon, Woodleigh
Duties:
-Assess and monitor patients' conditions, documenting observations and vital signs.
-Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
-Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
-Provide education to patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and post-care instructions.
-Assist with medical procedures and provide support to physicians during examinations and surgeries.
-Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
-Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control protocols and hospital policies.
-Operate and monitor medical equipment, reporting any malfunctions or issues.
-Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid or life-saving interventions.
-Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
-Promote a supportive and compassionate environment for patients.
-Supervise and mentor junior staff and nursing students as needed.
-Participate in continuous professional development and stay updated on best practices.
-Handle administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and managing patient schedules.
-Advocate for patients’ needs and rights, ensuring quality and ethical care.
Requirements:
-Comfortable to work half day on Sats
-Has prior Medical health screening / OG experience
-Has prior AU experience will be advantageous
-Has prior experience in regular OG/GP nursing duties
