Job Scope
- Designing and developing high-quality stamping press tools to meet specific product requirements
- Conducting tool tryouts and implementing necessary adjustments to optimise tool performance
- Overseeing the maintenance and repair of stamping press tools to maximise uptime and productivity
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvements
- Providing technical support and training to production staff on the proper use and care of stamping press tools
- Monitoring tool wear and recommending replacement or refurbishment as needed
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to stamping press tool design, performance and maintenance
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Stamping Press Tooling Engineer or in a similar role
- Proven track record in designing and developing high-performance stamping press tools
- Proficient in using CAD software, FEA analysis and other engineering design tools
- Strong understanding of metal forming processes, tool materials and heat treatment techniques
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical information
