We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure and Cloud Specialist to manage and support both our on-premises application infrastructure and cloud-based services. This role involves collaborating closely with stakeholders to design and implement robust solutions that support business needs while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Lead the planning, deployment, and support of application infrastructure, including technologies such as Microsoft Windows, SQL Server clustering, and VMware virtualization.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS and Azure, focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with internal teams to understand business requirements and translate these into functional infrastructure solutions, both in the cloud and on-premises.
- Financial and Contract Management: Develop and manage budgets for both infrastructure and cloud projects, oversee maintenance contracts, and negotiate terms to ensure value for money.
- Service Delivery and Support: Ensure the continuous delivery and high performance of application infrastructure services, providing day-to-day support as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimization and implement best practices in both cloud and traditional infrastructure environments to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects adhere to public/government sector standards when applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or other relevant cloud certifications preferred.
