With a strong presence in Asia and a commitment to excellence, the company is expanding its operations and seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead its finance function.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to senior management, the Senior Finance Manager will be a key strategic partner, overseeing the financial health of the organization. This role is critical for ensuring robust financial controls, compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting business growth through strategic insights. Candidates with experience in the commodities sector, particularly in petrochemicals, fuel oil, or oil, will find this role both challenging and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Management:
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s objectives.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to drive business growth and profitability.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support decision-making.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
- Oversee cash flow, working capital, and liquidity management.
- Optimize banking relationships and manage hedging strategies related to commodities trading.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a small finance team to ensure operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including trading, operations, and risk management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, CA, or CFA is highly preferred).
- Experience in a Commodities firm is Mandatory.
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in the commodities sector (e.g., petrochemicals, fuel oil, or oil trading).
- Big 4 experience will be highly valued.
- Strong understanding of commodity trading financial dynamics, including P&L, mark-to-market (MTM) accounting, and risk management.
- Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
