Quality Assurance Laboratory Assistant (North / Food industry / 5 days) - WC2

1. Production Quality Monitoring: Assist the QM & PD Executive in overseeing and maintaining production operations to comply with GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001, and ISO 22000 standards.
2. Food Safety and Quality Support: Ensure food safety and quality control for production processes, incoming inspections, and other QA/QC activities throughout manufacturing.
3. Routine Quality Checks: Perform regular QC inspections in alignment with the documented HACCP Plan and Procedures.
4. QA Hold Management: Manage product on-hold activities, including sorting and releasing withheld items.
5. Critical Control Points Monitoring: Oversee the implementation of CCPs according to HACCP and ISO standards.
6. Calibration Support: Assist the QM & PD Executive in conducting equipment calibration as per established procedures.
7. Complaint Handling: Aid in evaluating complaint and retention samples to identify root causes.
8. Laboratory and Area Management: Help manage the QC laboratory, chillers, sample retention, and QA hold areas, ensuring cleanliness and compliance with 5S standards.
9. Safety Compliance: Ensure all employees adhere to food safety and worker safety practices.
10. Sample Collection: Collect product samples for the product retention program.
11. Documentation: Accurately record and file all relevant logs and documentation.
12. Testing: Conduct microbial and pH testing for finished products and raw materials, recording results.
13. Incoming Material Testing: Perform quality checks on incoming materials, such as soybeans and packaging, and review Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
14. Chemical Preparation: Prepare chemical solutions for production use.
15. Swab Testing: Conduct swab tests to verify equipment cleanliness and worker hygiene.

Requirements:

1. Diploma in Food Science and Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
3. Willingness to perform hands-on laboratory testing and product evaluations on the shop floor.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
