Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Migration Specialist for a 6-month contract role. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in migrating SharePoint and other legacy systems to the cloud, particularly in a Microsoft environment.
You will be responsible for overseeing the migration process, ensuring smooth integration, and optimizing the usage of cloud services, particularly for finance teams who rely heavily on Excel and SharePoint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of SharePoint to the cloud, working on the transition from on-premise to Azure.
- Collaborate with the IT and business teams to identify migration needs, particularly around legacy systems and data storage solutions.
- Support finance teams with SharePoint and Excel integrations, addressing challenges with SharePoint functionality in a cloud-based environment.
- Design and implement best practices for cloud architecture and data management within Azure.
- Provide technical expertise for setting up and managing Azure services, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve migration-related issues, particularly with legacy data and integration points.
- Ensure smooth and seamless transition to cloud-based tools while minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Document processes, migration plans, and best practices for future reference.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cloud migrations, specifically SharePoint migrations to Azure.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft environment, including SharePoint, Office 365, and Azure.
- Experience working with legacy systems and migration strategies.
- Deep understanding of Azure infrastructure, cloud services, and security protocols.
- Experience supporting finance teams, with a particular focus on Excel integrations and optimization in a cloud environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues related to cloud migrations, data integration, and system performance.
- Strong communication skills to work with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other Azure services (Azure Active Directory, Azure Blob Storage, etc.).
- Certification in Azure (Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.).
- Previous experience with large-scale migration projects in corporate environments.
