Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support our growing network infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience managing enterprise-level networks, configuring network devices, and ensuring the stability and security of both internal and external network services.
This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain seamless network operations and high availability.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Design & Implementation
- Design, deploy, and manage LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN architectures
- Configure and install network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPN concentrators
- Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions aligned with business objectives.
Network Monitoring & Maintenance
- Monitor network performance and ensure system availability using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, and PRTG
- Perform regular network maintenance, including firmware updates, patches, and hardware replacements
- Swiftly troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to minimize downtime
Security & Compliance
- Implement network security best practices, including configuring firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS
- Ensure adherence to organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
Documentation & Reporting
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
- Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and improvement strategies.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of network equipment and software licenses.
Collaboration & Support
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams and end-users on network-related issues.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to resolve external network problems.
- Support the integration of new applications and services into the existing network infrastructure.
Required Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Aruba network devices
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point)
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Strong understanding of network security principles and technologies, including IDS/IPS, VPN, and access control
- Familiarity with cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry-recognized networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP, or equivalent)
- Experience in Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and network automation using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Python
- Knowledge of wireless networking technologies and solutions.
- Familiarity with load balancers (F5, Citrix ADC) and proxy servers.
- Experience with VoIP technologies and unified communications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Expertise in LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routers, firewalls, network security, troubleshooting, and certifications like CCNA/CCNP.
