Job Scope:
- Perform complex physical and logical database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, performance management, monitoring, backup, restoration, and change management.
- Manage Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments for Oracle 19c and higher versions.
- Upgrade Oracle databases from 19c non-multitenant to 21c/23c multitenant architecture.
- Administer and optimize databases, ensuring performance, security, and availability.
- Execute RMAN backup and restore operations.
- Develop shell scripts to automate database operations and maintenance.
- Conduct database/SQL tuning, performance optimization, and data realignments.
- Apply Oracle patches and manage multitenant architecture effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to meet business requirements.
- Document database configurations, specifications, and operational processes.
- Maintain production, UAT, and development databases with minimal or no outages.
- Provide 24x7 rotational support and address on-call escalations as needed.
Job Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Engineering or any related discipline.
- Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience in Oracle Database administration with expertise in Oracle 19c, 21c, and 23c.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard.
- Proficient in database upgrades, particularly transitioning from non-multitenant to multitenant architecture.
- Excellent knowledge of RMAN backup and restore operations.
- Proficiency in Oracle patching and multitenant architecture management.
- Demonstrated expertise in database/SQL tuning and performance optimization.
- Solid experience in Unix/Linux environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide architectural recommendations for optimal database performance.
- Positive attitude, self-initiative, and problem-solving mindset.
