The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Project Officer. The laboratory, led by Assoc Prof Tan Meng How, focuses on developing and applying cutting-edge biotechnologies, including high-throughput next-generation sequencing (NGS) and CRISPR-Cas systems, to read, write, and decipher genomes and transcriptomes in living cells.
The Project Officer will play a key role in advancing new tools and methodologies to push the boundaries of genomics and synthetic biology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply new genomic technologies
- Analyze data and prepare reports and presentations
- Write and publish journal papers
- Mentor and guide undergraduate students
Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related fields from a reputable university.
- Research experience in biomedical sciences, bioengineering, biotechnology, or a related discipline (e.g., genomics, genetics, computational biology, molecular biology, synthetic biology).
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Some knowledge with the latest genomic technologies
