The Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) at Nanyang Technological University and CNRS@CREATE is jointly looking for a Research Assistant (RA) to join the Shaping Public Adaptive Capacity for Environmental Infectious Diseases (SPACE) Project. This project aims to develop a research protocol for infectious disease prediction and prevention in Singapore.
Established in 1992, the WKWSCI is the only full-fledged communication school in Singapore and is a world-class centre of excellence with an international faculty, state-of-the-art research laboratories, and global institutional affiliations. CNRS@CREATE, the first overseas subsidiary of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), acts as a programme operator to build and conduct large interdisciplinary research programs. It is a trans-continental hub for research with unique opportunities for high quality faculties, researchers, and postgraduate/postdoctoral students. It is located in Singapore, in the Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE), and international research campus and innovation hub.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature search
- Assist in development and conceptualization of experiments
- Assist in data analysis of experimental data
- Contribute to research publications and presentations
- Assist in writing progress report and final research report
- Engage in the dissemination of the results of the research with the support of and under the supervision of the Principal Investigator
- Carry out administrative work associated with the program of research as necessary
Key Competences:
- Bachelor’s degree in fields including communication, psychology, sociology, or a social science related discipline. (Candidates with a good bachelor’s degree in related fields will be considered.)
- Prior experience in experiment for social science research
Desired Qualifications:
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Team player in a project setting, also with the ability to work independently in a multi-cultural team environment
- Good quantitative data management and analytical skills (e.g., being able to analyze data using SPSS, MPLUS, R, and/or Python).
