Requirement
- Assist pharmacists in the accurate dispensing of medications based on prescriptions from outpatient clinics.
- Ensure that medication labels are accurate and meet legal and regulatory requirements
- Perform medication checks for interactions, allergies, and appropriateness before dispensing.
- Provide basic medication counseling under the supervision of a pharmacist, including proper usage, side effects, and storage instructions.
- Answer patient queries regarding their medications in the outpatient setting, referring complex cases to the pharmacist.
- Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of pharmaceuticals, including stocktaking, ordering, and receiving supplies.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure medications are available for outpatient dispensing.
- Rotate stock to prevent expiry of medications and ensure appropriate storage conditions are maintained
Responsibilities
