Job Purpose
• Accounting and Financial Management related to Business Development operations including but not limited to Financial Reporting, AR/AP arrangement with Accounts division, Management Accounts, taxation, support for arranging financing
• Provide project support, including profitability evaluation and financial assessments
• Act as support for other Business Development projects as assigned

Duties and Responsibilities
• Accounting and Financial Management
• Prepare management accounts for Business Development activities, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements
• Prepare monthly reports and the annual budget for Business Development activities.
• Cash flow management to support operational needs
• Coordinate financial arrangements with the Finance division.
• Verify invoices and collaborate with the Accounts team to ensure timely payments.
• Assist in streamlining and improving internal documentation processes.
• Support financial arrangements and related documentation.

• Project Support
• Verify the accounting method and for each project with Accounts team and auditor
• Verify the taxation matters for each project with Accounts team and tax consultant
• Assist in project profitability evaluation and financial assessment
• Assist in accounting and financial management for projects in various countries of Southeast Asia and Oceania.

Job Requirement

• Diploma related to accountancy, business management or finance
• 2 years of Accounting/ Finance experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Well organized and able to manage multiple tasks // projects by oneself
• Numerically astute and comfortable reporting large numbers to management (USD$ millions)
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Good time management skills, able to multi-task and meet the deadlines
• Able to work independently as well as within a team
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, word)
• Positive attitude with strong desire to learn new skillsets

Job Description:

Prepare full sets of Accounts.
Involve in monthly closing including AR function & AP function.
Prepare and maintain tangible/intangible asset schedule.
Process staff claims and vendor invoices.
Maintain accrual & prepayment schedule.
Prepares balance sheet schedules, bank reconciliation and audit schedules.
Able to analyze the Monthly Financial Reports.
Maintain Customer, Vendor and Employee Masters.
Assist in liaison with auditors for annual / ad-hoc audit (internal & external).
Perform AP duties which includes payment processing (Manual, GIRO and System), and ensure proper supporting documents for approval of payments.
Perform AP checking of supplier invoices and related documents submitted from documents submitted from SCM Department for processing of payments.
Perform payment duties for posting/checking of coding for expenses and payment in SAP.
Check whether employees' purchase requests have been submitted after appropriate review and approval for purchase control.
Prepare monthly supplier statement reconciliation.
Ensure that cost items (journals) are recorded in the system from month end closing.
Assist to prepare accrual schedule for operational and non-operational expenses.
Assist in company Budgeting Process.
Assist in Monthly Forecast Reporting.
Perform other financial responsibilities as and when required.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor in Accounting/Finance/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
Possess at least 2-3 years’ Finance & Cost Accounting experiences.
Possess sound knowledge in Microsoft office especially Excel and PowerPoint are added advantage.
Knowledge of SAP is a good advantage.
Work with external and internal auditors and tax agents etc.
Flexibility to absorb a wide range of work
Communication skills to smoothly coordinate between departments
Team player, Meticulous, Detail Oriented
Preferable to have Costing Management Background and Managing the Accounts for Overseas branches.

Assistant Manager (Financial Reporting, MAS Reports, Work in Bank ) - TK

Our client is a International Bank and is looking to expand in Singapore. They are currently looking for an Assistant Manager (Accountant) to join their Middle Office team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Accounting: Profit and Loss Management. Manage budget controls including payment of expenses and taxes, etc. Undertake the preparation of financial statements, corporation tax, VAT and other tax returns
• Reporting to Authorities: Submitting periodical reports to authorities including Notice 610. Submission of Statistics and Returns. Liaison with MAS and Accounting Firms regarding bank accounting policies and guidelines.

Supporting duties:

• Risk and Operation Management: Assisting the Middle Office Manager to manage credit, market and liquidity risk from the Middle Office’s standpoint. Check daily operation. Reconciliation of checking the account balance. Manage reports to the Head Office, MAS and Japanese regulatory agencies, etc.
• IT Management: Assisting the Middle Office Manager to manage The Branch’s IT operations, including the main accounting system. Liaise with suppliers where necessary regarding system maintenance and changes/upgrades.
• Credit Risk Management: Prepare monthly and other periodic reports relating to the bond and loan portfolios as required by Head Office.
• Office Administration Functions: Manage control of office supplies. Control important items such as agreements. The Branch's equipment maintenance. Support control of the security system. Control and take care of the office environment. Handle incoming and outgoing mails. Prepare necessary reports.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the General Manager and Senior Deputy General Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Degree holder
• Relevant Accounting & Finance or Middle Office experience in the banking industry
• Experience in creating regulatory reports
• PC skills (Microsoft Office)
• Team management experience is preferable
• Having experience with setting up regional branches or subsidiary offices is advantageous
• Good communication skills, strong learning ability, and multi-tasking skill
