Job Description for Accounting Technical Manager

The Accounting Technical Manager will support the Head of Quality Management and Senior Technical Manager in ensuring compliance with applicable pronouncements, including Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA), Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Public Accountants and Accounting Entities (ACRA Code), Singapore Standards on Quality Management (SSQM), their international equivalents, corporate regulations, and firm-wide policies and PKF Network compliance requirements.

Candidates for this role will be supporting the firm’s technical department in achieving the following outcomes:

• Planning and conducting risk assessments and quality control reviews on engagements, to ensure compliance with the above Pronouncements.
• Establishing the policies and procedures within the firm to ensure compliance with the above Pronouncements.
• Implementing and monitoring the Firm’s internal quality control program (firm-level controls and detailed file reviews) to comply with SSQM.
• Analyzing and identifying gaps, and potential areas of improvement, in quality control procedures within the Firm to ensure compliance with the above Pronouncements and proposing remediation plans.
• Carrying out root cause analyses and monitoring the effectiveness of action plans to address areas of weaknesses identified.
• Preparing and collating information/reports for regulatory and internal reviews and handling any related coordination work.
• Manage the administrative aspect in the areas of research, training, and quality management, knowledge management within the Accounting Technical Department.
• In charge of monitoring the changes to existing and emerging accounting and auditing standards, related laws, and guidance.
• Providing technical consultations and conducting training in accounting, auditing, and quality management matters
