RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of financial records of assigned companies
• Analytical review of financial statements of assigned companies
• Prepare audited financial statements of assigned companies
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors accordingly
• Prepare periodic financial report for reporting to Joint Venture partners or banks
• Prepare and monitor funding position of assigned vessels and/or companies
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders and business partners on the performance of assigned vessels and/or companies
• Participate in the monthly review and closing process of the assigned vessels and/or companies
• Prepare tax compliance submission for assigned companies
• Perform revaluation and allocation function in Oracle as appropriate
• Prepare journal entries and maintain accounting schedules as appropriate
• Maintain fixed assets information in a timely and accurate manner
• Perform checks to ensure accuracy of the system generated information
• Assist in administrative matters in the department
• Actively participate and engage in the process for the continuous improvement of departmentalprocedures through QMS
• Other ad-hoc duties

• Degree in Accounting / professional qualification in Accounting
• 4-5 years work experience in Accounting-related roles
• Working knowledge of FRS
• Strong computer skills and experience in computerized accounting/ERP systems an advantage
• Most recent work experience should include: Analytical review of financial statements, Preparation of financial reports, Preparation of audit schedules and liaison with auditors
• Matured and strong team player with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels
• Prior experience in shipping industry and/or shared service centre will be an added advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Comfortable in handling high volume work in a fast paced environment
• Able to commence immediately or within short notice

• My client is seeking someone to assist their diverse team of audit and assurance professionals as a technology auditor to support the Asia Internal Audit team in identifying, assessing and driving resources to areas of key technology risks and vulnerabilities, through evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of related controls.

Key responsibilities:

• Overall control of all financial, tax and audit matters which includes but not limited to:

1. Month end close and monthly management reporting
2. Monthly cash flow analysis and forecasting for all entities within the group
3. Tax computation, analysis and forecasting, liaise with tax advisors on tax payable, thin capitalisation and transfer pricing matters for the group
4. Bank debt reporting and adherence to loan covenants
5. Ensure fixed asset registers (both tax and accounting) are updated and current

   Overall cash management – including capital expenditure and projects

• Lead and manage the budgeting process

4. Financial modelling and analysis including preparation of internal valuations
5. Assist in calculation of returns on investment
   

• Assist in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
• Develop financial and tax strategies
• Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile, monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry and maintain appropriate insurance coverage
• Handle any other task that is assigned by the supervisor from time to lime as deemed necessary to carry out the duties

Key requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in a senior financial managerial position preferably with a property, hospitality or investment industry background handling month end close, management reporting, cash flow analysis, tax and statutory filing requirements for a comparable organisation in size, scale and complexity; and covering Australia and New Zealand operations
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and professional accounting qualifications such as CA or CPA
• Exceptional interpersonal communication, high degree of emotional intelligence and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate and manage staff at all levels
• Ability to collaborate with team members outside of finance as well as upper management to organise, plan and achieve company financial goals
• Sound decision-making skills based on accurate and timely analyses
