Responsibilities:

• Manage to maintain the necessary reports and journal entries to build and support closure and financial reporting procedures that adhere to the reporting timeframe and rules.
• In-charge in preparing audit, tax, and SOX accounting schedules.
• Work closely with the operations and accounting teams to ensure that accounting entries are entered into the ERP on time and correctly.
• Coordination of billing and costing operations, as well as ensuring that accounting/costing activities and work billings/recharges adhere to SOX Compliance and Standard Operating Procedures
• Analyze and reconcile account balances on a timely basis, resolving discrepancies or escalating as needed.
• Examine intercompany markups on billings and purchases to ensure that Transfer Pricing regulations are followed.
• Maintaining controls over accounting transactions and month-end closing processes to guarantee financial correctness and completeness.
• Work on withholding tax and GST compliance, including analysis and reconciliation.
• Engage in value-added initiatives and promote continual process efficiency improvements.
• Any additional ad hoc tasks delegated by Management.

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accountancy or Business or equivalent
• At least 2 - 3 years of experience from MNC environment
• Prior experience in handling intercompany transactions and costing will be an added advantage
• Proficient in using MS Excel will be ideal

Overview

Account Technology Specialist provides technology guidance to clients and orchestrates the interaction between clients and Microsoft resources to drive new opportunities, demand generation, digital transformation, and the mapping of industry/business scenarios to Microsoft solutions. Acts as the Technology Mentor for the customer or "go-to" person in established, long-term relationships with technical and/or business decision-makers at the Chief X Officer (CxO) level. Drives conversations with clients to present the strategic value of Microsoft solutions and acts as a trusted technology advisor both internally and externally with technical and/or business decision-makers. • Provides Account thought leadership inclusive of information technology (IT), business strategy knowledge, and technology landscape, and shares best practices internally while providing coaching to subsidiary resources. Leverages account thought leadership in partnership with account executives to set strategy, own accountability for outcomes, and lead extended teams. Provides technical guidance to internal teams to position technology while using customer landscape knowledge. Creates connections and feedback loops with Product and Engineering teams.

Brief description of the job functions.

• Post transactions to the general and subsidiary ledgers on timely basis.
• Prepare supporting documents and reconciles the GL accounts to the subsidiary ledgers in Blackline.

The Accounting Specialist is based in Singapore Office but also supports finance function in Shanghai office as needed.

Job Responsibilities include:

1. Responsible for the maintenance of the general and subsidiary ledgers to ensure all accounting transactions are promptly recorded, classified and analyzed
2. Coordinate and review the reconciliation of major account balances to subsidiary ledgers at month-end close
3. Timely preparation of reconciliation of general ledger accounts on monthly basis within established system to verify the validity and accuracy of all transactions booked

What’s the Role?
