Job Summary: The Accounts Payable & CAPEX Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts payable functions, processing invoices, ensuring timely payments and tracking capital expenditure. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts Payable (AP):

• Process and verify vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper approvals, and compliance with company policies and tax regulations.
• Maintain AP ledger, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and timely payments to vendors.
• Reconcile AP accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues with vendors and internal departments.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
• Reconciling vendor tax invoices with recorded tax amounts and ensuring accuracy for GST submission.
• Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable, including account reconciliations and accruals.

2. CAPEX Spending:

• Monitor and track capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects to ensure they are executed within the approved budget and reporting expenditure related to long-term assets.
• Assist in budgeting capital needs for projects and provide insights on capital spend trends.
• Identify qualifying capital expenditure according to accounting standards.
• Capitalize appropriate assets on the balance sheet and ensure correct depreciation methods and useful life estimates are applied.

3. Reporting & Compliance:

• Prepare reports on AP and CAPEX and other relevant financial data as needed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations, internal controls, and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or CAPEX management.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles related to AP.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Independent, proactive with a positive and hands-on attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with vendors and team members.

   • Collaborate with Institute of Higher Learning (IHLs) and industry training providers to develop tailored training programmes to address specific client needs.
   • Review training content to ensure that it is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with industry standards and emerging trends
   • Monitor the performance of training programme and manage client feedback to drive continuous improvement

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

- Min 3-4 years of relevant experience

· Skills and experience in business development, marketing and customer management relevant to advanced manufacturing and industrial training sector

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and data

For this faculty position in the area of microelectronics manufacturing, we are looking for candidates with the following essential and desirable skillset and competencies.

Essential

• Academic and industrial experience in semiconductor device fabrication and front-end processing
• Expertise in some or any of the areas of etching, lithography, in-line metrology and thin film technology (such as PVD, CVD ALD and ECP)
• Experience in reliability analysis, structure and surface analysis, and process characterisation
• Motivated to develop microelectronics manufacturing curriculum
• Strong demonstration of scholarship and commitment to teaching

Desirable

• Good knowledge in semiconductor packaging and back-end processing
• Experience in failure analysis and reliability testing in wafer fabrication, packaging, assembly and test
