Job Summary:
The Section Account Manager in Planning & Control will play a critical role in overseeing the company’s financial health by forecasting, planning and analyzing the costs of products, projects, and services. This position focuses on forecasting, planning, analyzing, and reporting the costs associated with business operations, driving improvements in cost efficiency, and supporting strategic decisions. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cost forecasting & planning, analytical skills, and experience with manufacturing or production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and development of financial forecasts, budgets and projections for all departments and business units.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the alignment of financial forecasts with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial planning that aligns with company objectives and market conditions.
- Oversee the rolling forecasts and evaluate the impact of business drivers, market trends and operational changes.
- Oversee the operations of cost control accounting, including the analysis, reporting, and management of costs associated with production, materials, labor, and overheads.
- Develop and maintain forecasting models and systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Prepare and present periodic financial reports, highlighting deviations from forecasted targets and advising on corrective measures.
- Lead the adoption of new technologies or practices to continuously improve the forecasting process by streamlining workflows, enhancing tools and systems, ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
- Work closely within the team to ensure that financial forecasts are realistic and based on accurate assumptions.
- Assist in guiding and mentoring the team, providing support and professional development opportunities.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring team members understand responsibilities and timelines.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to identify innovative solutions and maintain high-quality standards.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in financial forecasting, planning, and cost control, with leadership skills, preferably in a fab or manufacturing environment.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Independent, proactive with a positive and hands-on attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and accurately.
