Job Description

· Lead audit engagements of various sizes and industries from planning, execution to finalisation.

· Proactively involve client, manager and partner in the audit engagement in resource planning, managing deadlines, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring audit is executed and documented with quality.

· A good coach to junior team members, and is able to bring out the potential of the team members to meet the objectives with lesser effort. This includes understanding the strengths and weaknesses of team members and giving timely and constructive feedback to team members for their personal development.

· Generally have a positive attitude towards learning new knowledge and skills, rise up to challenges and have a long term view towards issues encountered.

· Aspire to move up to next level in the auditing career and develop specialization in certain industries eventually.

· Firm will provide support in professional development i.e. sponsorship for taking professional courses or external training that is tuned to the personal development needs of the senior.

This position is an entry level to the audit profession, being supervised and reporting to the team leader of the audit engagement. Specific responsibilities include:

1. Support team leader in the audit process to ensure tasks assigned are executed diligently in accordance with the requirements.

2. Provide timely update on job progress and follow through assigned tasks to completion.

3. Flag out issues to team leader timely to proactively seek for resolution. This includes consult when in doubt.

4. Produce clear and concise documentation of work done and diligently resolve review points raised by the team leader.

Technical skills and competencies to develop:

1. Accounting and Auditing standards, Singapore Taxation

2. Use of Excel for analysis and detection of errors and anomalies

3. Project management, planning and time management

4. Communication, presentation and writing skills

5. Exposure to a wide range of businesses to have a bird’s eye view on how the different businesses operates and the challenges faced

This position is a level transitioning from junior to senior role of an audit engagement. For more complex engagement, you will be one of the team members who can execute work competently and confidently with minimum supervision from the team leader. For non-complex engagement, you will have opportunities to take charge of the engagement for the entire audit process thus building your foundation to progress to the next level.
