Job Scope:

• Be responsible for end-to-end accounting and GST submission on a monthly and yearly basis.
• Lead and supervise the team and work well with management in meeting targets.
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of accounts and preparation of monthly financial reports and schedules.
• Analysis of accounts.
• Perform payment forecast and monitor cashflow.
• Manage the operational and workflow management.
• Develop & implement process improvements.
• Liaising with Auditors.
• Any other assignment as assigned by Management.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in freight forwarding experience.
• Moderate Microsoft Excel skills i.e. use of excel functions, pivot table etc. is an advantage.
• Possesses excellent leadership skills to motivate and manage team, set goals, and provide guidance.
• Ability to work independently with high level of initiative and resourcefulness.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, meticulous and committed individual who can work with little supervision under tight deadlines.
• Good team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records in the accounting software.
• Assist preparation of the monthly and yearly accounts closing.
• Update accounting supporting schedules.
• Prepare payment to vendors.
• Follow up outstanding payment from customers.
• Assist financial audit, both external and internal.
• Assist quarterly and yearly regulatory reporting.
• Document all accounting and treasury procedures.
• Assist other departments (such as Operations, Admin, People, etc.) as and when required.

Essentials to Have

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English).
• At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting-related or relevant fields.
