MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Audit and Projects Manager shall be responsible for ensuring the right level of internal control and driving process improvement projects within LFCS and LBeauty and managing the conduct of retail audits for perfumes and cosmetics brands across Southeast Asia.

1. Ensuring the right level of internal control within LFCS and LBeauty

1. Coordinate Internal Control self-assessment and action plans implementation

• Execute and coordinate yearly LVMH Enterprise Risk and Internal Control Assessment campaign. Perform test of design and review supporting documents submitted by process owners. Perform substantive tests to validate the accuracy of Test of Design assessment and to ensure alignment with the Group’s internal control expectations.
• Work with the process owners to design action plans to effectively address the gaps identified. Actively support local teams during implementation phases.

1. Implement internal controls on risk areas

• Conduct audit testing of potential risk areas and identify reportable issues.
• Actively participate in the drafting, development, and implementation of standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with LVMH policies and local laws to strengthen internal controls, and to promote standardization of processes.
• Review and approve the creation of new accounts, the assignment of roles and creation of new profiles in SAP. On an annual basis, review the roles assigned to all active users using the segregation of duties principle.
• Revise the Purchase Order validation workflows in SAP according to changes in the organization and ensure alignment with organizational needs.
• Conduct fraud investigations when a suspected or confirmed fraud case has been reported. Inform and alert the organization on fraud cases and fraud attempts.

1. Coordinate internal audits and follow-up on audit action plans

• Assist process owners during internal audit phases for audits conducted by Central Internal Auditors.
• Follow-up on the action plans and ensure implementation of committed actions. Provide a clear picture of the progress and status for clear reporting to Management.
• Participate in the audits conducted by the Central or Regional Internal Control Teams (joint audits, by invitation).

1. Drive process improvement projects

1. Manage the implementation of internal control projects and other initiatives

• Manage process improvement initiatives, promoting standardization and consistency of processes across the different brands within the region
• Conduct information dissemination advocating internal control good practices.

1. Change management

• Plan, manage and deploy significant process transitions (e.g., adopting a new company-wide tool) or significant process changes (e.g., implementation of new processes) within the organization.

1. Plan and supervise the execution of retail audits

• Plan an audit schedule through risk assessment of retail points of sale (POS) across Southeast Asia.
• Manage 1 Internal Control Assistant Manager in the execution of retail audits, ensuring compliance with SOP, retail guidelines, and alignment with LVMH control requirements.
• Ensure the main control gaps are identified, formulate recommendations and work with management to devise action plans to effectively address the gaps identified.
• Ensure effective communication of the results of the audits to local and regional Management through presentation and a comprehensive retail audit report.
• Plan and implement an effective and consistent method to follow-up on the action plans committed by the audit stakeholders to ensure the control issues are addressed.

1. Provide support to stakeholders

• Conduct testing of potential risk areas and identify issues. Monitor and provide advice to Management to minimize risks.
• Conduct training, if necessary, to support new store openings or to strengthen internal control awareness of store staff/back-office support functions.

Primary Objective:

Assist the Head of Internal Audit in discharging its responsibilities by performing independent review to ensure :-

•    Soundness and adequacy of governance, risk management and internal control system
•    Compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements as well as internal policies and guidelines.
•    Coordinate and supervise audit assignments to ensure timely completion and efficient execution.  
•    Provides consultative role in review of proposal papers for development of new and variation to the existing Islamic banking products & services as well as new and enhancement of framework, policies and guidelines to ensure the necessary control features are incorporated.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Coordinate annual risk assessment exercise of all the operating units under the purview of this section for establishment of annual audit plan.
•  Plan and supervise the execution of risk-based audits as per annual audit plan established.
• Review audit scopes and audit programs for execution by audit team to ensure audit objectives are met with adequate coverage.
• Review draft audit findings and works performed by audit team to ensure issues raised are appropriate and valid for audit discussion.
• Attend audit exit discussion with the respective Head of BG/FG & BA/FA to discuss audit issues as well as recommendations to improve system of internal control
• Review and finalize audit reports for sign off by Head of Internal Audit and Functional Group Head, RHB Bank Singapore
• To provides value-added service through recommending the key controls required in review of proposals for new and variation to existing Islamic products and services, new and enhancement to existing policies and guidelines.
•  Train, coach, motivate and provide guidance to the staff in the section.
• Assist Head of Internal Audit in supervising and ensuring smooth operations of IAD

About the role

We are looking for the Head of Accounting, who will report to the Country Head of Sleek Singapore and be part of the management team. Given below is the Mission and Outcomes over the next 6-12 months.

Mission: The Head of Accounting leads the team, driving process transformation, compliance, and profitability. They ensure team competency and client satisfaction through timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables.

Outcomes: 

• Provide structured training and leadership to the accounting team, ensuring they stay updated on accounting standards and regulatory requirements across corporate secretarial, tax, payroll, and other services. Demonstrate expertise in ACRA regulations and Singapore company setups, particularly for private limited companies.
• Ensure timely filing of corporate returns and taxes per SLAs, with 60% AR filed by month 4 and 100% by month 7, maintaining 96% client satisfaction. Aim for 70% gross profitability, excluding passthrough fees, and achieve 99% automation of key accounting tasks by 2025.
• Maintain team efficiency through timely hiring and training, swift corrective actions for staff issues, and full compliance with workflows. Contribute to continuous improvement of the accounting bot by integrating updated resources and expertise.

To do this, you will have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in client facing and handling complex accounting matters including commercial and/or audit experience. and you will most likely be located in Singapore

Requirements:

• Recognised degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Professionally certified preferably with ACCA, CPA, or CA qualification and a member of ISCA.
• Proven track record of more than 3 years of leadership experience in a fast paced and technology driven organisation.
• Good understanding of Singapore regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Google workspace and Microsoft applications.
• Resourceful and experience with various productivity software applicable to facilitate daily work.
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, proactive, highly-organised and detail-oriented.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Introductory call

• A ~30 minute video call with a member of our HR team to discuss your application and get a better understanding of your experience and expectations for the role

Project or case study or technical test

• If it’s a project, you’ll have 1 week to complete a short assignment related to what you’ll actually be required to do in your first month on the job. You’ll then present some slides/ designs/ a doc/ an excel model/ some code to a few members of the team, followed by Q&A

• If it’s a case study, there’s nothing to prepare.  You’ll have a ~45-60 minute chat with the Hiring Manager, where he or she will give you some real-life challenges that this role faces, and will ask for your approach to solving them
• If it’s a technical test, it is usually a 30-50 minute online assessment that will be conducted in real-time, while a member of staff is dialled into the call

Career deep dive 

• A ~60 minute chat with the Hiring Manager
• We’ll discuss your last couple of roles to understand your experience in more detail
• In addition, we’ll be trying to gauge your where your strengths lie

Responsibilities:

• Understand our business and the problems we are trying to tackle, deeply, when it comes to our core security services

• Support the sales and pre-sales teams in responding to customer risk and security questionnaires and queries

• Build customer trust through managing and hosting in-person customer/prospect security meetings

Desired Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in information security, governance, and compliance.

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, Azure.

• Managed one or more compliance certifications/audits, either as an auditor or responder (FedRAMP, PCI-DSS, ISO27001, SOC-1/2, IRAP/ISMS, MTCS, etc.)

• Experience with completing customer security/compliance questionnaires

• Experience interpreting the intent of specific customer questions, and mapping them to industry standard controls

• Familiarity with public cloud architectures, security practices and compliance documentation
