Responsibilities
- Responsible for the supervision and resource planning of the Credit Review Group(CRG).
- Provide guidance and further enhance the overall capability of CRG.
- Management reporting on CRG’s activities in a timely manner.
- Support Co-Heads of IADAP on the reporting of CRG’s activities to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the planning group and other relevant groups to enhance the efficiency and quality of the internal processes.
- Support various requests from IAD Tokyo.
- Make audit plans annually for the credit reviews in accordance to the risk assessment in APAC region.
- Cascade the credit review plans to CRG members and ensure deliverables are completed according to planned timeline.
- Supervise CRG members to follow-up on open issues identified and conduct validation review on remediation actions taken by auditee in accordance with CRG recommendations and address BUs’ concerns accordingly.
- Travel within APAC region is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
- 10-15 years’ experience in the areas of credit risk analysis, credit approval and/or credit review function. Audit experience in a leadership capacity would be an added advantage.
- Excellent and extensive knowledge in credit risk analysis, financial analysis/projections and credit rating models across Large Corporates, Structured Real Estate finance, Project Finance, Securitization, LBO and/or Banks/Non-Banks Financial Institutions.
- General knowledge in Retail and Islamic Finance would be an added advantage.
- Strong ability and confidence to lead the group members effectively with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Good writing and communication skills. Proficiency in both English and Japanese is highly preferred to present and communicate with senior stakeholders at Japan Head Office.
- Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Powerpoint. Added advantage for knowledge/experience in programming applications e.g. Power BI, Python.
